Experience Required(Description) : • Good hands on database administration experience on SQL server 7, 2000 and 2005. • 24x7 Database support • Good Communication skills • 3 years of experience in production environment • Hands on Installation , Upgrades & applying Hot fixes/Service Packs & Replication • Log Shipping along with sound backup-recovery experience • Should have exposure to tools like Litespeed/SQL Backtrack/Netbackup etc • Clustering - Optional but preferred


Roles & Responsiblities :-

Project Planning , design • Project management • Client co-ordination • Determining the root cause of problems and identifyin g solutions • Supporting the databases projects related activities • Performance monitoring and capacity planning • Database installation and configuration • Advanced configurations (Log shipping, etc) • Database hardening – Security, clustering & Stand b y • Database Backup • Patch upgrade • Security compliance • Audit trail monitoring • Co-ordination with interfacing team • Project requirement participation • DR setup and testing • Participating in Knowledge Transfer activities Profile: • SQL se rver Database administration • 24x7 support • Resolving tickets • Security compliance • Audit trail monitoring • Coordination with interfacing team • Project requirement participation • DR setup and testing • Participating in Knowledge Transfer activities
