Opportunity to lead MOSS 2007 projects (BI, Workflow) for customers such as Microsoft Corporation. Your key result areas as percentage of your overall work items will be:
MOSS 2007 application development using C#, Ajax, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server (~45%)
Deliver on challenging projects such as
Dashboard development in SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services and Excel Services
Workflow and integration projects using InfoPath 2007, Enterprise Search and other features of MOSS 2007
Enterprise Portals and Content Management
Planning and architecting portal based solutions, development of web parts
Design and develop extremely reliable, scalable and high performing code
Ensure quality of the code using code quality tools and frequent code reviews
Gather software requirements (~15%)
Participate in regular conference calls with onsite and customer team
Develop iterative prototypes based on requirements
Contribute to architecture design and discussions
Owning delivery of fast paced (e.g. monthly releases) project for product groups (~15%)
Helping define the requirements and feature sets including by
Regular collaboration with onsite teams through daily phone conference calls
Iterative prototyping
Project planning and tracking
Application development and technical code reviews
Cross team coordination for project delivery
Leading a development team of 3- 8 software engineers (~25%)
Ensuring project team is trained to deliver on project requirements
Resolving technical queries raised by the project team
Ensuring 80%- 90% utilization of the resources in the project
People management including team motivation, providing feedback, training and mentoring the team
Coordinate with the testing team, Implement bug fixes; Knowledge sharing sessions with test team
Candidate Profile
Should have working knowledge of MOSS 2007, significant experience in designing and implementing SharePoint sites
In- depth knowledge in advanced topics like Workflows, Web parts, InfoPath 2007, BDC, Enterprise search, Excel Services and Custom Branding etc.
Bachelors in Computer Science from a leading university with first class throughout
Possess an extremely sound understanding of areas in Computer Science such as Algorithms, Object Oriented Design
Strong technical background in Microsoft platform
Hands- on experience in SharePoint 2007 and 2003, C#, Ajax, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, XML Web Services
Prior work experience working with Microsoft Corporation is a plus
Prefer IT services background with IT majors
Local candidates preferred. No relocation is available
