 Job Responsibility :-

As a member of the Global Development Data Warehouse Team, this individual will be responsible for the application architecture of the Development Organization’s central data hub containing various internal and external data assets. This position will architect large scale data management environments and design the deployment of data into the data warehouse architecture and data provisioning activities for data mart solutions. Additionally, this individual will define, design, and communicate how data will be housed and flow across the various layers of the data management architecture. This key technical position will work closely with both the operational support and project development teams to ensure optimal effectiveness of new solutions and continued operational excellence. Additionally, this position will collaborate with business partners and the Business Intelligence team members to deliver the information needs of the Clinical Development organization and ensure the architectural strategies are aligned with dynamic business needs. Specifically, this role will: • Lead the development of the overall data warehouse application architecture and support the architecture activities of Business Intelligence solutions. Activities include: • Conduct industry and domain analyses for technology choices and directions • Create data warehousing technology roadmaps • Capture architectural requirements • Evaluate alternative approaches • Prototype alternatives as needed • Create architectural models and architecture documentation • Develop the data warehouse interface architecture including: • Evaluate alternative approaches, prototype as needed, recommend solutions, create and maintain architecture documentation • Create specifications for components and interfaces • Lead reuse initiative for data warehousing and data mart domain including policies and guidelines for common mechanisms while adhering to enterprise architecture • Analyze, design, realize and implement IT solutions, including: • Devising functional and conceptual design specifications • Data and process modeling • Developing prototypes • Developing and unit/integration testing programs using the defined software development environment • Establish and implement standard software packages within the data warehousing and Business Intelligence framework including: • Supporting software package evaluation • Leading software selection process • Elaborating functional and conceptual design specifications • Defining integration and implementation plans • Customizing standard solution and developing additional functions/objects according to user requirements. • Write system and project related documentation such as technical documentation and architectural diagrams. • Ensure the central data hub and data mart environments are designed and constructed in a manner consistent with enterprise architecture principles • Serve as application architect mentor to educate and drive awareness of underpinning data warehouse and data mart architectures • Assist in development of enterprise information strategy and promote data and information as valuable corporate assets









Desired Candidates Profile :-

• 7+ years of experience within IT • 5+ years of experience within the pharma / life science industry • 2+ years of experience working in a global service delivery model • Advanced Enterprise Data Warehouse Architecture experience • Proven technical leader in large and complex data intensive solutions • Familiarity with Data Modeling and Process Architecture tools • Deep proficiency in Oracle DBMS • Strong technical knowledge of ETL and BI tools • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Excellent client service capability • Experience within the Development IT domain a plus
