Job description:
BASIC FUNCTION
DBA will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the database systems for multiple product offerings with the SaaS portfolio.
This position includes frequent interactions with customer IS professionals as well as with internal IS and support staff.
The applicant must maintain a current skill set in SQL Server, Windows, and associated technologies, and excel in coaching and training team members, customers, and support personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access.
Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.
Set user privileges within the database environment.
Act as main interface for Technical support team.
Develop and keep accurate documentation of processes, standards and baselines across SaaS environments, generating status updates of assigned projects and problems.
Perform root-cause analysis on service interruption; create recovery process and preventive measures.
Participate in an on-call rotation that provides 24x7x365 coverage of mission critical systems.

f. Good Communication skills and willing to work in 24X7 support is a must.
