Solution Architect - j2EE & Corporate Banking Domain at Polaris

Job Description:
"• Act as a subject matter expert in an area of technical skill (j2EE)

• Design pre-sales solutions relevant to product area of expertise that best meet customer requirements

• Consult with the Account team to develop proposals for presentation to customers, and/or business cases to demonstrate the value of solutions

• Where required, attend customer meetings to ensure the customer understands the technical solution and the value of the solution

• Participate in fitment study, requirement gathering at client site as a Solution Architect

• Analysis of requirements, creating Solution Document and Functional Specification

• Definition of Process flows, User Interface and Reports based on requirements

• Review designs to ensure that solutions meet performance criteria to meet customer business goals and business constraints, in conjunction with the Account team

• Contribute to the successful achievement of targeted revenue and sales targets

• Perform analysis and recognise patterns in data to initiate incremental improvements and solutions to existing processes, products and systems in own area

• Recommend step improvements in own area and between areas, including awareness of best practice

• Ensure development and maintenance of the corporate memory / data base for the area

Skills and experience

• 3 to 5 years solid experience as a Solution Architect within more than one organisation.

• Excellent analysis skills

• Ability to run and manage workshops

• Excellent documentation skills

• Excellent communication and business customer relationship skills

• Ability to negotiate to achieve positive outcomes

• Good problem solver and Structured thinker

• Understanding of the change management process

• Familiar with use case documentation and system use case [UML]

• Ability to work on multiple projects at any one time including IT as well as Business projects
