About the Role
Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead is the person who will be working on Java and web based GUI development for McAfee DLP gateway security products. The person will be member of core team working on middleware and GUI for DLP products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Translate high level product requirements into Object Oriented design
- Produce and review design specifications
- Implement design (coding) with unit testing
- Understand the standards and frameworks and adhere to same
- Maintain and enhance legacy code/sub-systems
- Understand the product, analyze defects and propose solutions. Effectively handle bug scrubs

- Experience in professional software development, preferably enterprise-level products in Java related technologies
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience of building multi-tier distributed applications for international consumer.
- Familiar with open source frameworks like Struts and Hibernate
- Strong Computer Science Fundamentals
- Proficient in programming concepts using core Java
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience of Struts and Hibernate framework
- Familiarity with web technologies like w3c standards, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, I18N etc
- Working knowledge of SQL, MySQL and other RDBMS
- Working knowledge of tools like ANT, Eclipse etc
- Familiarity with JMS, JBoss, Tomcat and other middleware technologies
- Familiarity with Linux OS, scripts and commands
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP)
