Posted On Monday, October 12, 2009 at at 7:27 AM by Ketan Patel| Job Designation | Solution Specialist – Document Management Systems Job Description ROLE PURPOSE Provide high level expert, technical support and consultation to the business and IT management with a focus on application support and integration. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience • 6-8 years of experience in Information Technology, with a significant portion focused in document and content management. • Relevant work experience with products including OpenText Livelink (including workflow design), CoreDossier (or similar electronic submissions solution) and Microsoft SharePoint. TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE Demonstrated experience with business analysis, system integration and implementation of emerging technologies is required. • Relevant work experience with multiple products including Microsoft SharePoint, OpenText Livelink (including workflow design) and CoreDossier (or eCTD based electronic submissions solution) • ASP, .NET programming experience a plus. • Knowledge of document management standards in GxP environment and SDLC best practices. • Strong business and customer orientation skills. • Attitudes to motivate and build strong relationships with business and IT colleagues • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English is required. • Advanced knowledge of Computer Systems Validation, particularly in pharmaceutical environment • Understanding of GxP standards and FDA’s 21 CFR p11 requirements • Advanced knowledge of standard Windows based environments, MS Office 2003 & 2007, Adobe MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES • Analyze, design, realize and implement IT solutions, including: • Devising functional and conceptual design specifications, • Data and process modeling, • Developing final solutions through iterative prototyping • Developing and executing unit/integration testing programs using the defined software development environment. • Implements standard software packages within the frame-work of the defined business application architecture, including: • Supporting software package evaluation, • Leading software selection process, • Elaborating functional and conceptual design specifications, • Defining integration and implementation plans, • Customizing standard solution and developing additional functions/objects according to user requirements. • Write project related documentation such as technical system design, user manual, etc. • Convert technical and business requirements into adequate IT solutions for an allocated area of a project or work task. • Develop application, component, data, and interface architecture for each application and project within the domain(s) • Evaluate alternative approaches, prototype as needed, recommend solutions, create and maintain architecture documentation • Create specifications for components and interfaces • May assist in analyzing and modeling relevant business processes KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS / MEASURES OF SUCCESS • Achieve agreed targets in terms of quality, time, cost and customer satisfaction. • Architecture meets business requirements for growth, performance, flexibility and scalability.
