| Position Description: Skills Required *: PHP, AJAX, CSS, XML, HTML/DHTML, JavaScript , Drupal, Linux and MySql Experience*: 4 - 6 years Experience (In Years) *: Any graduate with good logical & Analytical skills. Job Description - PHP Development & Support for a number of diverse Web based applications Strong AJAX knowledge is required. Working knowledge of MySQL if required Knowledge of open sources such as Drupal, is a strong asset and. will be an added advantage Minimum 2 years of experience in PHP, MySQL on Linux Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming model is required Should have strong coding fundamentals and good coding standards. Experience of usability, database design and highly efficient web platforms. Work primarily with PHP, procedural and object-oriented design, dynamic content retrieval, Unit testing techniques, debugging techniques, HTTP, MySQL and Apache. Develop production-level code and prototypes Knowledge of Eclipse and/or HTML/PHP editor is an asset. Good written and oral communication skills in English. French is an additional asset. Excellent customer focus, communication and organizational skills Manage other PHP Developers and Web Designers Knowledge and use of additional tools such as source control and defect tracking Experience in Production diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities are required Work as part of a Global Team that is responsible for the creation and maintenance of internal collaboration environments. Ability to conduct Performance and Scalability tests Ability to product cost estimates responsible for the design, development, implementation and quality assurance of programs and application modules within comprehensive, complex, multi-user information systems Works as part of technical teams, to develop information systems, which may include the full range of requirements and feasibility analysis, design, coding, testing, quality assurance, implementation and documentation, as well as system application upgrades Works closely with internal clients and maintains ongoing contact, to ensure client satisfaction by meeting their needs through information systems development, enhancements and/or customizations Analyses software change requests, defines the scope and timelines, and implements the changes within the information systems in adherence to formal change management and control processes Analyses and generates solutions to resolve software design and program deficiencies/problems in existing or new systems. May be required to oversee and ensure timely analysis and generation of solutions for project team Ability to understand and prioritize user and business requirements, and to conceptualize information processing solutions in response to them Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas/processes in simple terminology University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Technology At CGI, we’re a team of builders.
