About the Team
The
Finance and Corporate Management Systems team designs and develops the
technology platform that underpins all Financial and HR processes at
Akamai. Our focus is to increase the efficiency and transparency of
these areas of the business while maintaining enterprise class
reliability. Our ever-evolving technology stack consists of Oracle
E-Business, custom built software, Oracle Business Intelligence, Siebel
CRM, Informatica, Hyperion Essbase. The team consists of high-caliber
software engineers, business systems analysts, project managers, and
application administrators.
About the Job
The
Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for efficient, comprehensive
and well documented QA process methodology. The QA engineer will have
experience in applying best practices to ensure that the software
deployed into production is of the highest quality. The QA enigneer
will work with the sofware developers and business systems analsyst to
devise comprehensive test plans for system, regression and stress tests
and where possible automate these tests. The QA engineer is responsible
for recording and tracking test results as well as any software defects
found in the testing process. In additon to quality assurance the QA
engineer will be responsible for ensuring seemless deployment of code
from dev to QA and finally into production.
A successful candidate will be adaptive to change and able to quickly come up to speed in a fast paced technology environment.

| Responsibilities: |
Responsibilities:
1.
Perform and participate in all aspects of manual and automated
verification. This includes freature and functional testing, unit
testing, regression, load and performance testing.
2. Design and develop scripts using automated tools for regression and continuous integration testing.
3. Provide clear bug and issue descriptions and assist in escalations as needed.
4. Create and apply new approaches and concepts to improve the productivity and efficiency of testing practices.
5. Manage code through the release process.

| Qualifications: |
Qualifications
· Around 4+ years Experience handling QA of applications independently
· Automated testing experience
· Ability to work with developers to design test criteria and develop test plans
· Strong understanding of QA life cycle and QA methodologies
· Experience with scripting (perl, shell)
· SQL knowledge for running queries
· Strong Verbal / Written Communication Skills
